Riviera – contemporary Brigitte Bardot as an inspiration for the new Reserved collection

Warm sand, refreshing sea breeze and blue sky – this is the setting for the latest Reserved summer capsule collection. It’s no coincidence that Sofia Tsakiridou https://www.instagram.com/matiamubysofia a German it-girl, is the star of the collection – her style and beauty evoke associations with French stars of the past decades. However, Sofia interprets the carefree summer spirit in her own unique and modern way.

Marine-inspired outfits, decorative buttons and, of course, striped patterns make up a coherent and visually pleasing composition. There are frill dresses, polo shirts with contrasting binding and wicker baskets that could easily have won the hearts of Jane Birkin, Brigitte Bardot or Jean Seberg. This season marks a great return of the 1960s vibes, as if transposed directly from French films. Hence the trapezoidal lines of skirts and dresses, capri pants or knit T-shirts. Riviera is also about details: wide shoulder straps, cross stripes on the back, asymmetrically sewn ruffles and corset darts. The silhouette is feminine, with an accentuated waist and cuts to reveal the summer tan. The colour range remains subdued: mandatory whites and pomegranates are broken by red and maroon in the shade of … French wine. To add girlishness to the looks we have cute frilly sleeves, wrap bindings and accessories: espadrilles, sandals, straw hats, as well as raffia and suede bags.

The photos for the “Riviera” collection were taken by a talented Polish fashion photographer, Sonia Szóstak, and Magda Janicka is responsible for the styling. The photo shoot was done at the Polish seaside near Gdynia Orłowo, the Puck Bay, Hel and Dębki.www.reserved.com
