The Mall’s Puppet Shows will continue in October

Come and join us!

State Puppet Theatre Gabrovo – “Hansel and Gretel”

Hansel and his sister Gretel are the children of a poor woodcutter. Fearing that she cannot feed them, their mother persuaded their father to abandon them in the woods. Hansel and Gretel, however, hear the call of the parents and collect small white stones which mark the way so that they will be able to go back. However, the mother persuades the father to make a new try. This time Hansel and Gretel had themselves only a piece of bread thrown behind, and when trying to return, they find out that the birds had eaten it.

Wandering through the woods, the children find a house of bread with windows made of sugar – it turns out that this is the home of a witch who lures children with goodies in order to eat them. She closes Hansel in a cage and makes Gretel her maid and tells her to feed her brother until he’s ready for baking. Eventually, the children manage to deceive the evil witch and push her into the oven and then go home safely.

Theatre “Karlson” – “Karlson, Who Lived on the Roof”

But his mind is better than everyone else’s – he helps other animals in trouble, he foresees all situations and gets himself and the others safe from troubles…In the end everybody finds out that the mind is much more than the physical strength, and Moody is a true friend. The final lyrics of the story say: “Think, think, man, cause with your thought you will get very, very far!”

State Puppet Theatre Bourgas – “Bon Bon Ole”

This is a heady, bright, magic variety show in which the candies sing, the cakes turn into exotic birds, the croissants dance Russian kazachok and the little tarts are gorgeous ballet-dancers.
However, Mould the monster bursts into the entertaining performance of the sweeties. He manages to draw the sugary characters into deep-laid scheming, treachery and misunderstandings and take the magic wand of the Presenter – Candy the magician.
The show is in real danger.
But despair will make Icing Sugar and the greedy Worm unite in their efforts to save the sugary world. It is the world of imagination that has been rescued in the end.

The classic tales are told in a very funny and attractive way, adapted for kids. All kids are welcomed every Saturday from 11:00 AM at The Mall, 2nd floor. The shows are free for everyone.
